Color left — a vertical color card

A side-by-side card. The color takes the left of the frame and the caption runs down it, like the spine of a book.

What it looks like

A block of color on the left and the photo on the right. The caption is vertical by default; CJK characters stay upright and Latin text is rotated.

What you can change

• Split slider: how much of the card is color (20–50%, snaps at 20, 25, 33 and 50%)
• Background opacity: fade the color so the photo shows through it
• Text direction: vertical (default) or horizontal

Good for

• Portrait photos
• Chinese or Japanese captions written top to bottom
• Phone wallpapers and stories

Tips

• Use 9:16 or 3:4 — side layouts are designed for portrait ratios
• Short place names read best vertically
