Troubleshooting and FAQ

Fixes for common ColorWander issues: missing place names, photo permissions, iCloud photos, Live Photo export, saving, and re-editing cards.

My card doesn’t show a city

Photos from chat apps, AirDrop and screenshots usually carry no GPS. ColorWander falls back to a scene description. Pick the photo straight from the library on the phone that took it, or type the place in Text → Caption → Location. See Captions.

Photo access

Limited photo access works. If a photo outside your selection loses its location, add it to the selection in Settings → ColorWander → Photos. Saving only needs permission to add photos; if it’s off, the app offers Open Settings.

iCloud photos load slowly

Photos stored in iCloud download automatically. If it takes a while, the editor opens on a preview and Export becomes available once the original arrives. If it fails, check your connection and try again.

Live Photo export fails

Usually the motion part isn’t downloaded yet: open the photo in Photos first. With limited access, tap Allow access. More in Live Photo.

Saving fails

Check Photos permission and free storage. The app retries automatically; if it still fails, use Email the developer or Copy diagnostic on the error.

“Original photo unavailable” when editing a saved card

The original was deleted or is offline in iCloud. Restore it in Photos, or allow full photo access.

Glass palette looks different on my iPhone

Real Liquid Glass needs iOS 26. On earlier versions ColorWander uses a close approximation.

Still need help?

Settings → Support ColorWander → Send feedback, or email us from the Support page. Export diagnostics in the same section creates a small file with app and device details — no photos.
